Outlaws are made, not born, and such is the case of the aged Joe Brown, aka Einer, and his young cohort, horse thief and possible murderer John Paul. After meeting in odd circumstances, the two pair up to steal a herd of Mexican horses to sell across the border. Even outlaws have hearts, and each wants the stolen horse money for the love of a woman. But both are unaware that a Texas Ranger investigating the fiery deaths of a brother and sister is determined to find John Paul, regardless of how long it takes or where it leads him.
